The IJIS Institute is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to contribute to the successful implementation of integrated justice and public safety information systems nationwide. The IJIS Institute brings together the expertise, knowledge, and experience of the information technology industry in a way that benefits industry, the public sector, and society as a whole.

Technologists from the member firms of the IJIS Institute can provide information about emerging technologies, standards, successful approaches to project management, protocols for requirements analysis documentation, and other vital issues. A central premise of the Institute is that fostering public/private partnerships will help improve the quality of justice and public safety systems information sharing by improving the relationships between the public and private sectors.
