Sypherlink
Launches Harvester Version 2.0
Includes
Advanced Filtering Heuristics and Intuitive User Interface
Dublin, OH, Feb. 3, 2003 --
Sypherlink, a leading technology firm that enables
information sharing across multiple data sources and provides
information access controls,
has launched Sypherlink: Harvester 2.0.
Already shown to significantly reduce the time and
cost of data sharing projects by automating the data source
profiling and data-mapping processes, this
new release of Harvester adds advanced filtering heuristics and an
intuitive user interface.
“Sypherlink
continues to improve on the ability of organizations to accelerate
the data-sharing process by minimizing the required amount of domain
expertise and automating many of the tasks that typically require
substantial manual effort,” said
James Paat, Sypherlink President and CEO.
“With
this release, a second layer of heuristics is built into the user
interface itself. With
a simple command or mouse click, users can more easily mask
non-relevant relationships and finalize the mapping process.”
Harvester
2.0 includes the following:
-
Filtering
Heuristics --
Second level of advanced heuristics provides
additional intelligence about the relationships found by
Harvester and allows for more sophisticated editing by directing
the user to areas that will require their attention.
This would include, for example, duplicate tables, tables
with no values, or temporary fields.
Additionally, users are able to conduct impact assessments and
analyze how different scenarios and configurations would impact
their final results.
-
Harvester
Relationship Manager -- New
user interface makes it significantly easier to review, adjust
and edit the field level relationships among multiple data
sources.
