ETL Developer

Location: Dublin, OH
Department: Client Services

Position Responsibilities:

• Leverage and validate existing data maps to create extract, transform and load (ETL) streams to perform the movement of data in data conversion projects.
• Work with data analysts to update the maps as required to streamline the process of data movement and conversion.
• Utilize industry ETL tools such as Pentaho (open source) or Informatica to define and manage ETL processing and refine an ETL architecture to meet the requirements of several data integration projects.
• Define, develop and utilize business-results oriented metrics for the ETL processes that are focused on high quality, timeliness and scalability.
• Analyze and understand data sources and implement new requirements.
• Ensure source to target mapping accuracy by performing as required quality assurance functions.

Minimum Requirements for Position:

• Bachelor’s or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data integration and/or data conversion projects.
• Must have development experience with ETL tools – prefer experience with Informatica or Pentaho.
• Must possess strong analytical, written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures.
• Ability to manipulate complex data and move to a standard canonical target incorporating data transformation and data cleansing techniques.
• Experience with Change Data Capture (CDC) with and without "modification date/time" fields defined in the source schema.
• Ability to setup workflows, scheduling, and error handling, exception reporting.
• Knowledge on how to extend the ETL environment using JavaScript and/or Informatica Script.
